These are things we get asked about the most and what they mean;
“Keeper” means a person who owns, possesses, controls or otherwise has charge of a dog.
All dogs must be on a leash and in control when off the owner/keeper’s property, on a leash that is no more than 8 feet long.
All dogs must be maintained in a safe, sanitary and healthy environment.
All dogs that are found must be turned into the shelter within 72 hours of finding it, and not kept. Keeping someone’s dog that you find is a crime, and you could be cited.
Do not leave your dog in a parked car, not only is it dangerous for your dog but it is a violation.
All dog bites that break the skin of a human MUST be reported. All dogs that bite a human will be quarantined.
All dogs must not be a nuisance by chasing people or vehicles, damaging or destroying property, scattering garbage, trespassing on private property, disturb anyone by noise, bites or kills an animal while trespassing on private property or is deemed a potentially dangerous dog.
All dogs in the states must have and maintain a current rabies vaccination and dog license on all dogs, no matter size, job, or where it is kept.
